Event overview
Run With The Goats is the eighth annual 50K event in Kennewick, WA, scheduled for April 18, 2026. The race is capped at 50 entrants and will open a waitlist once that cap is reached; waitlisters receive invitations in order and have 24 hours to accept. Registration opens January 8, 2026. There are three separate finishing categories: Beer, Light, and Sober.
Format, course and logistics
The course uses single-track trails in Reata Canyon on private property; runners are asked to be respectful of landowners and other trail users, including horses. The event is run as seven laps of about 4.5 miles each. An official finish requires completing all seven laps and following the beverage rule for each division.
Division rules:
- Beer and Light entrants must consume beer before each lap (Beer: 16 oz for the first beer, Light: 12 oz) and must have a designated ride home.
- Sober entrants consume a 12 oz fizzy non-alcoholic beverage before each lap and must supply their own fizzy drinks.
The full 50K route includes 4,280 feet of climbing (about 600 feet per lap). Amenities at the private start/finish area include porta-potties, a fire pit, a potluck meal arrangement, and a custom pint glass for all entrants. Beer and Light entry fees include beer and the glass; Sober entrants receive the glass only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
