Event overview
Run With The Goats is an annual trail event held in Kennewick, WA, on the single-track trails of Reata Canyon. The event is presented with three divisions:
- 50K Beer
- 50K Light
- 50K Sober
All entrants receive a custom pint glass. The event is capped at 50 entrants; once full, a waitlist opens and waitlisters are invited in order. When invited, a waitlister has 24 hours to accept or decline.
Course, format and logistics
The course uses repeated 4.5-mile laps on private property accessed under an easement. An official finish requires completing seven laps with a beverage consumed before each lap, which the organizer describes as a total of 31 miles and seven drinks. The “Beers” division requires a 16 oz beer before the first lap, “Lights” require a 12 oz beer, and “Sobers” require a 12 oz fizzy non-alcoholic beverage; Lights and Beers must arrange a ride home. The event will include porta-potties, a fire pit, a potluck, and a beer supplier (Side A Brewing). Participants are asked to respect property owners, use trail etiquette (stay right, pass left with notice), and be mindful of other trail users and horses.
