Run With Responders 5K - Windsor Civic Terrace
Run With Responders 5K takes place on July 26, 2026 at Windsor Civic Terrace and includes events for adults and children. Distances offered include a 5K run or walk, a kids 1 km / Kids Dash, and a CKLW AM800 m Kids Run.
The course is an out-and-back along the Riverfront Trail west through Dieppe Park, past the Legacy Beacon and Streetcar No. 351, then through the Windsor Sculpture Park, returning to the Windsor Firefighters Monument, which serves as the start and finish. The route covers roughly 2.5 km each way.
Race operations include a mass start, electronic chip timing, a lead bicycle and a follow bicycle, a display clock at the start/finish, and water stations at each kilometre. Inline skating, cycling, strollers and animals are not allowed on the course. The first 450 registrations are guaranteed a finishers medal; later registrants will receive a t-shirt but not a medal. Registered adults receive a coupon for a free massage from students at the Canadian College of Health, Science and Technology. Age-group awards and overall top-three prizes are offered, and running clubs can earn cash prizes for largest groups. The event raises funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario and the Windsor Firefighters Benefit Fund. No refunds; bib transfers are available until July 25, 2026. Race packet pickup and late, cash-only registration take place at The Running Factory (5480 Wyandotte St. E).
