Run With Responders 5k

RUN WITH RESPONDERS 5K

The event takes place on July 26, 2026 at Windsor Civic Terrace, with start and finish at the Windsor Firefighters Monument. The course follows the Riverfront Trail west, passes Dieppe Park, the Legacy Beacon and streetcar No. 351, then Windsor Sculpture Park, before returning to the monument. The 5 km uses an out-and-back format of 2.5 km each way.

Course and operations:

• Vehicles from police, fire, Essex-Windsor EMS and CBSA will be displayed at the side of the course in honor of local first responders.
• Electronic chip timing, a lead bicycle to direct the field, a follow-up bicycle for the last participant, and a display clock at start/finish.
• Water stations at each kilometre, a PA system and an announcer.
• No inline skating, cycling, strollers, baby joggers, or animals allowed on the course.

Registration and race kit:

• The first 450 registrations are guaranteed a finisher medal and a t-shirt; later registrants will receive a t-shirt without a medal.
• Online registration closes July 22, 2026. Race packet pickup is at The Running Factory, 5480 Wyandotte St. East on July 24 and 25. Late registration and same day packet pickup are available during those pickup periods and on race day if the event is not sold out, cash only.

• Top 3 male and female overall, and 1st place in five year age divisions from 10 and under up to 80 plus.
• Proceeds support the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario, and the Windsor Firefighters Benefit Fund.
