Run Wild for the Cape May County Zoo : Cape May Court House, NJ
Run Wild for the Cape May County Zoo takes place on April 19, 2026 at Cape May County Park & Zoo. The event is presented in its fifth year by Sturdy Savings Bank and includes multiple distance options held in and around the zoo grounds.
The program includes the following events:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Walk
- Free Kids Race 1/4 mile dash; pre-registration and signed waivers are required for participants.
All distance options are stroller friendly. Children age 5 and under do not need to be registered. Participants aged 6 to 18 receive an automatic discount at checkout. This is a cupless event; on-course hydration should be self-supplied and water is available at the finish area. There is one restroom on course near the bear enclosure and additional restrooms near the start and finish.
Proceeds will be split between the Cape May County Zoological Society and another Cape May County charitable organization to be determined. Team and individual fundraising opportunities are available. Parking is available at the Cape May County Park & Zoo and non participants are not allowed inside the zoo during the race. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations meeting the event deadline and medals are awarded to overall and age group winners in the 5K and 10K categories.
