Racing occurs on a roughly 5-mile single-track loop. Each lap has about 350 feet of ascent and descent. The loop surface is generally smooth but includes some rocks and roots. Runners may change direction after their first lap. Participants may set up canopies at the start/finish area. A single aid station at the start/finish supplies a variety of ultra foods and hydration.
A 36-hour cutoff applies to all distances. The event includes round-the-clock music, a midnight ball drop, and entertainment activities such as dance offs and karaoke.
