Run to Remember 5K - Troy
Run to Remember 5K in Troy, New York, is organized by AFROTC Detachment 550 and takes place at the East Campus Athletic Village. The event offers both an in-person 5K race and a virtual 5K option. It is open to all ages and genders, and participants are encouraged to run or walk with family and friends.
Registration opens on September 1, 2026. The in-person registration period closes on October 7, 2026, and the virtual option remains open through October 10, 2026. The standard registration fee is $25. A student discount of $15 is available during registration.
Proceeds will support the installation of the Memorial Plaque to Honor Fallen RPI Classmates at The Approach. The plaque is developed in conjunction with Air Force, Army, and Navy ROTC and will honor RPI veterans, prisoners of war, and service members who were wounded or killed in action since World War II. Seventy members of the RPI community have been identified for inclusion. The plaque will be installed adjacent to existing memorials for alumni who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars and will provide a permanent site for reflection and remembrance.
