Run to Remember 5K - Troy
The Run to Remember 5K takes place on 10/10/2026 at East Campus Athletic Village in Troy, NY 12180. The event includes an in-person 5K race and a virtual 5K option that allows participants to complete the distance from another location.
Registration opens on 9/9/2026. In-person registration closes on 10/7/2026 and virtual registration closes on 10/10/2026. The standard registration fee is $25. A student discount of $15 is available during registration.
The event is open to participants of all ages and gender, and participants are encouraged to run or walk with family and friends. The Run to Remember is organized as a community event that supports a local memorial project.
Proceeds will support the installation of the Memorial Plaque to Honor Fallen RPI Classmates at The Approach. The plaque will honor RPI veterans, prisoners of war, and service members who were wounded or killed in action since World War II. To date, 70 members of the RPI community have been identified for inclusion. The plaque will be installed adjacent to existing memorials dedicated to alumni who died in the First and Second World Wars and will provide a place for reflection and remembrance.
