Run To Remember 5K - Frankfort, KY
The Run To Remember 5K is a fundraiser held at the Kentucky State Police Training Academy in Frankfort, Kentucky. The event supports the Kentucky State Police Foundation, which funds employee training, specialized equipment, employee support and other unfunded needs. Since its inception the Foundation has provided over $450,000 to support initiatives including recruiting marketing, ballistic harnesses for the K-9 branch, and employee wellness programs.
There are two entry options:
- Run To Remember 5K in-person - 3.1 Miles
- Run To Remember VIRTUAL Run - 3.1 Miles
All finishers receive a Finisher's Medal. Overall top three male and female finishers receive awards, and awards are also given to top male and female finishers in age categories: Under 13, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and Over 60. Commonwealth Race Timing provides chip timing; overall awards are determined by gun time and age group awards by chip time.
Packet pickup is available on race day at the KSP Training Academy. Registration opens February 14; early registration is $30 through August 1 and increases to $35 thereafter. Runners who register before August 6 will receive a race t-shirt. A virtual option is available worldwide; the virtual fee covers entry plus shipping of shirt, race bib, and medal.
