Event Overview
The Run to Remember is a community sports event held on Memorial Day weekend in Cary, North Carolina. Organized by Fit & Able, the event supports the local Veterans of Foreign Wars, a nonprofit service organization for eligible veterans and military service members. The races take place on a course at the Northwest Cary YMCA, utilizing the Cary greenway trails.

Participant Information
All registered participants for the 2 Mile, 4 Mile, and 6 Mile distances receive a finisher's medal and a gift. The course is monitored for potential records, and awards are available for top finishers in various categories, including overall male and female, age groups, and new course records.
The event includes a staggered start for in-person participants based on their chosen distance. For those participating virtually, the RaceJoy mobile app is available to provide GPS tracking, progress alerts, and automated result submission.
