Run to Prevent 5K and 1 Mile Run
The Run to Prevent is an athletic event held in Valdosta, Georgia, focused on road running. The event takes place at the Unity Park Amphitheater located on East Central Avenue. It features two distinct distances to accommodate different preferences:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Run
Participants have the opportunity to pick up their race packets the evening before the event at the Central Avenue Church of Christ. On the morning of the races, there is a dedicated registration period at the park before the first event begins. Following the conclusion of the running events, the organizers host an awards ceremony to recognize participants.
A race t-shirt is provided to participants who complete their registration by the specified late August deadline. For those who register after this date, t-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted.
