Run to Jesus 5K
Run to Jesus 5K is scheduled for July 18, 2026 in Canton, Ohio at 132 5th St NW, Canton, OH 44702. The event continues a local team’s effort to inspire hope and to celebrate faith, diversity, and resilience across abilities.
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5K Run/Walk/Roll
- 1 Mile Family Walk/Roll
- Kids Fun Run Run/Walk/Roll, open to ages 1 to 12
Worship music will be offered at Centennial Plaza before, during, and after the races, featuring local church performers to create a spiritual atmosphere. Following the races, there is an outdoor baptism opportunity inspired by a shirt message reading "Heaven is my Home, I’m just Here Recruiting," intended to make baptism accessible to those who feel called to commit their life to Jesus.
Registration options include paid and free entries: adult 5K, student 5K, family 1 mile, and a free kids fun run. The event grew from a personal conversation during a 2022 physical therapy session about a dream to become a runner, and the story was later featured in local news.
