Run to Educate 5k
The Run to Educate 5k is the 32nd annual event on August 7, 2026 at the Bellefontaine High School Track in Bellefontaine, Ohio. The event is organized by the LCEF Run To Educate committee and has ties to an educational foundation; it began as a fundraiser for that foundation. The committee links the 5K distance to the mathematical constant Pi, and pies are awarded annually to the top male and female finishers.
Event options include:
- 400 m kids fun run for children aged 10 and under
- 5K run or walk for youth aged 18 and under
- 5K run or walk for adults aged 19 and older
The kids fun run is free. Youth registration fee is $15 and adult registration fee is $25. Registrations received after July 17, 2026 are not guaranteed an event t-shirt. Walkers are welcome and race day registration is available.
Awards are presented to the overall top male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are listed from 9 years and under through 70 and over, with standard adult decades in between. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
