J.C. Tiger Trot
The J.C. Tiger Trot is a community running event held in Jackson Center with proceeds benefiting JC Athletic Boosters. The 2026 course is entirely within town. The event includes music along the course, water stations, and mile split markers.
The program features both a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile fun run. Registration options include preregistration with a guaranteed T-shirt for those registered by May 17th, race day registration without a shirt, and on-site registration for the fun run.
Distances:
- 5K run/walk; entry fee $25, T-shirt if preregistered by May 17th.
- 1 Mile fun run; $5 entry, registration at the race on race day.
Awards and recognition are given after the 5K. Prize money is awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers: $50 for first, $25 for second, and $20 for third. Age-group awards recognize the top three finishers in each listed age category. The fun run includes top elementary boy and girl awards. Door prizes and additional giveaways are presented following the 5K, and the top overall male and female receive free lifetime race entry.
