Chilterns Summer 10km
The Chilterns Summer 10km is a guided trail run through the Chiltern Hills, held on 11 July 2026 and based at Church Farm Cafe in Aldbury. The advertised distance is 10 km (approximately 6 miles). The route follows trails with some hills; leaders group participants by ability and offer trail running instruction and occasional local history commentary. Leaders will walk sections that are too steep.
The event includes a Run Leader for each ability group, bag storage, and on-route tips on trail technique. Facilities at the venue include a cafe, toilets, and a bag drop. On-site parking is available and the start is about a 15 minute walk from the nearby station; there are regular trains from London Euston to Tring Station that take around 40 minutes. Dogs may take part only when using cani cross equipment.
Entry information lists a maximum of 50 spaces and an individual entry fee of £23. The organiser recommends participants are able to run 5 km continuously. A list of mandatory kit is provided by the organiser. The event description notes that past participants have found the run well organised and the leaders attentive and informative.
Practical notes from the organiser include that travel to the start is the participant’s responsibility and that personal insurance and travel are not included. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
