Event
The Run The Runway 5K is a community running event held in June 2026. It is the third annual edition and offers both an in-person and a virtual option.

Location and course
The in-person race takes place at Danville-Boyle County Airport, 420 Airport Road, Danville, KY 40422. Organizers will close the runways at Stuart Powell Field for the event. The course will feature static aviation displays along the route.
Registration and fees
Registration opens December 29, 2025. Early bird registration ends in March. Published fee tiers include an early bird rate of $20, regular and last-call rates up to $30, a virtual option priced at $30, and a day-of rate up to $35. A participant gift is not guaranteed after late registration deadlines.
Purpose and awards
Proceeds support DreamFlight Charities programs that introduce aviation to students across Kentucky, including discovery flights, training scholarships, mobile aviation camps, and STEM support. Awards will be given for overall fastest times and the top three finishers (male and female) in listed age groups from 12 & under through 65 & above.
