Run the Runway 5K
Run the Runway is a 5K held on the runways and newly paved taxiways of the Schenectady County Airport in Glenville, NY. The airport is an active aviation hub with about 50,000 flight operations each year. The course uses the same runway operated by the New York State Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing and their LC-130 "Ski Birds."
Participants may run, jog, or walk the 5K course at the Empire State Aerosciences Museum at the Schenectady County Airport, 250 Ruby Chase Drive, Glenville, NY 12302.

- 1 mile fun run free for ages 12 and under
After the 5K, attendees receive free admission to the Empire State Aerosciences Museum for the day to view museum exhibits about aviation. The 5K registration fee is $35. The 1-mile fun run is free for children 12 and under. Active military, retirees, and veterans are eligible for a registration discount.
