Run the Runway Dundee 2026
Run the Runway Dundee is a sponsored night-time 5k on the runways at Dundee Airport. The route is lit by the runway landing lights and the event takes place with exclusive access to the airport grounds.
The format includes a group warmup and participants are organised into groups called to their "gate" by category: fastest runners, fun runners, skaters and walkers. Fancy dress is optional. Maggie’s will provide on-site features such as a photo wall, music, and additional activities.
All participants receive a complimentary goody bag, a Maggie’s t-shirt and a finisher’s medal. Prizes are awarded for the fastest finisher, best fancy dress and top fundraiser. After completing the 5k there is a complimentary mimosa and prosecco bar in the airport lounge, with non-alcoholic options available.
Registration costs £30 and participants are asked to raise sponsorship money. For Maggie’s 30th year the event requests a minimum sponsorship target of £300 per participant to support the organisation’s work. Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families at centres based in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals.
