Run the Rocks : Course and event information
Run the Rocks is a fundraising event organized by the American Lung Association at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on October 11, 2026. Dollars raised support lung disease education, advocacy and research throughout Colorado as part of the association’s mission to improve lung health and prevent lung disease.
The event offers two course options:
- 5k Run or walk through Red Rocks Park roads and finish by climbing amphitheatre stairs.
- 1.3 mile Family course on park roads, volunteers assist with strollers, finish at amphitheatre stairs.
The 5k is open to running and walking participants. The family 1.3 mile route is described for participants of all ages and includes volunteer support for strollers. Route files and GPS data are noted as available for reference.
Fundraising and team participation are part of the event format; event materials list top fundraisers and top teams. Local organizations appear as event sponsors.
