Run the River Spring Challenge
Run the River Spring Challenge offers three distances: 5 km, 10 km, and a half marathon (21.1 km). The start and finish are at Louise McKinney Riverfront Park on the lower level, and all routes follow the river valley pathways.
Course formats are described as follows: the 5 km is a direct out-and-back; the 10 km consists of two laps between two turn points; the half marathon includes three laps between the same turn points before returning to the finish.
A post-race BBQ is provided by River Valley Adventure Company and is included with entry fees. Beer and other beverages are available for purchase on site.
Children’s activities take place on the grassy area near the start and finish. A junior program with limited spots includes stations where children are grouped and guided through running, jumping, and throwing activities. An adult guardian must remain on site while children participate. Registration fees are tiered by date.
Race package pick up is scheduled the day before at Fast Trax (7326 101 Ave NW); participants are asked to select a pick-up window to reduce congestion and will receive a sign-up link before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
