Run the River - RTR Along the Thames takes place on Wednesday 16 September 2026 at Potters Fields Park, Tooley Street, SE1 2UD, London, Great Britain. The event offers two distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
Runners are allocated to start waves based on chosen distance and estimated finishing time. The event includes an event village and gives each participant a technical running t-shirt and a finisher's medal.
Entry, fees and registration
Registration opens 8 January 2026. Early pricing and subsequent tiers are listed as follows: first 150 entries through 28 February 2026 cost £34 plus fees; entries after 1 March 2026 cost £40 plus fees; entries from 1 September 2026 cost £44 plus fees. A transaction fee applies per order ( £0.20 plus 6%).
Fundraising is encouraged; an Anywhere event runs from 1–30 September 2026 to allow remote participation.
Volunteering and organiser
The event organiser is Teach First - Events Team. Volunteer roles include route marshalling, supporting the event village, and assisting with finish-line duties.
