Run the River - Along the Thames
Run the River returns to Potters Fields Park in London on 16 September 2026. The event is a twilight road run along the banks of the Thames that passes several central London landmarks. It brings together in-person participants and supporters in a riverside setting.
The event offers these distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
Runners are allocated to start waves based on distance and estimated finishing time. Race packs include a technical running t-shirt and a finisher medal. An event village will be on site. Participants who sign up after 31 August or who have an international postage address are asked to collect their race pack at the event village on the day.
Run the River also runs an Anywhere option from 1 to 30 September 2026, allowing people to take part remotely. The event supports Teach First and raises funds for work in disadvantaged schools and communities. In-person fundraisers who reach a £100 target are entered into a prize draw. Volunteer roles include route marshalling, event village support and finish area duties.
Entry fees start from £34 with tiered pricing as the event approaches. Registration is open until the event date and the organiser is Teach First Events Team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
