Run the Rim, Arnold, CA
Run the Rim is the Arnold Rim Trail Association's second annual trail run, scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026. The event is based at White Pines Lake Park in Arnold, California, and supports the nonprofit association’s work to develop and maintain the Arnold Rim Trail system.
Participants can choose from multiple trail distances, run on primarily single track trails, and experience forested sections and scenic views along the rim and around the lake. The Classic Arnold Rim Trail course runs end to end on the official Arnold Rim Trail from Post 100 to Post 1. The longer courses travel through pine, fir, and cedar forests, while the shorter courses circle White Pines Lake.
Distances offered include:
- 50k Ultra
- 35k Classic Arnold Rim Trail (22 miles)
- 21k (half marathon, improved loop course)
- 10k (improved loop course)
- 5k trail run
Registration fees vary by distance and increase after April 15. Early and later fees are listed as follows: 50k $75 then $90, 35k $60 then $75, 21k $50 then $65, 10k $40 then $50, 5k $25 then $30. Results can be posted automatically on race day for participants who connect their Twitter account. Maps and additional trail information are available from the Arnold Rim Trail organization.
