Run the Rim
Run the Rim is a trail running event held at White Pines Lake in Arnold, California. The event takes place on the Arnold Rim Trail, situated at an elevation of approximately 4,000 feet within the Sierra mountains. The courses consist primarily of single-track trails through pine, fir, and cedar forests, with some sections utilizing double-wide multi-use paths.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 22-mile point-to-point trail run
- Half Marathon
- 10K run
- 10K hike
The 22-mile course is a point-to-point route that starts on Fullen Road and concludes at White Pines Lake. The Half Marathon and 10K events both start and finish at White Pines Lake Park, heading southwest toward Angel’s Camp. The Half Marathon includes a turnaround at Cougar Rock, while the 10K turn occurs at Post 8.
Registration fees for the running distances include a custom event T-shirt and an after-party meal with drinks. The 10K hike option does not include a shirt or awards. Awards are presented to top finishers in various categories, including overall male and female winners and specific age groups for the 10K and Half Marathon. Proceeds from the event support the Arnold Rim Trail Association in maintaining the trail system for public use. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
