This road race is based at PIER 39 on The Embarcadero in San Francisco and follows a coastal route that continues up and over the Golden Gate Bridge and through the Presidio. The course provides views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the city, nearby parks, the national monument area, and local wildlife.

All registrants receive a long sleeve dry release race T-shirt included with registration. Finishers receive a Golden Gate Bridge medallion. Aid stations supplying water, first aid, Gatorade, and gel or GU are placed approximately every 3 miles along the course. Ticket pricing is listed from USD 45 to USD 55 depending on the distance. The 5 km ticket notes that the racing bib must be worn during the event.
