Run The Greenway
Run The Greenway is an annual event held in Ashburn, Virginia. The 6th edition of this race takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026. This event provides a unique opportunity to run on the Dulles Greenway, a 14-mile privately owned toll road that connects Washington Dulles International Airport and Leesburg. This is the only day of the year the road is open to runners without vehicle traffic.
The event supports various local non-profit organizations in Loudoun County through fundraising efforts. Participants can choose from several distances and categories:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 5K Roll
- Kids Fun Run (800 meters)
- Virtual 10K
- Virtual 5K
The Kids Fun Run is open to children under 12, and one parent may accompany each child on the course. Children under five can join this specific distance for free. Students aged 18 and under have dedicated price categories for both the 5K and 10K distances.
Packet pickup is available at several locations in the days leading up to the race, including =PR= Reston and Loudoun Station, as well as on-site on the morning of the event.
