Event details

Run the Gap takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Clarendon, Texas (5989 Highway 70, 79226). The event offers two race distances:

5K (ages 12 and up)
10K (ages 12 and up)

Entry fee for each event is listed as $35. Registration for the 5K closes on June 4, 2026 at 11:59pm CDT. Registration for the 10K opens January 6, 2026 at 4:54pm CST. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day of the event. Race bibs are chipped for timing. Registered participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal.

Course and logistics

The course starts and finishes at the Jericho Cemetery sign and follows current County Road B with a 5K U-turn and a 10K U-turn. A course map is provided by the organizer. Driving and parking directions note access from Interstate 40 (Exit 124 South) and from Highway 287 / Highway 70 North; drivers are instructed to turn onto a farm when they see the Texas flag and will be guided to parking.
