- 5K (ages 12 and up)
- 10K (ages 12 and up)
The course starts and finishes at the Jericho Cemetery Sign and follows present-day County Road B. Both distances use out-and-back routing with a 5K U-turn and a 10K U-turn. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day of the event and opens two hours before the event starts. The listed entry fee for each event is $35 and registration closes on June 4, 2026.
The race takes its name from the historic Jericho Gap on Old Route 66 (1926–1936). Historically, that stretch was prone to deep ruts and mud that could strand vehicles; when the highway was rerouted one mile north, the town of Jericho saw a long-term decline in through traffic. The event references that local history and runs along a section associated with those stories.
Participants receive event items that include a free T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a chipped-timed race bib. The organizer is listed as Run the Gap and the event location is 5989 Highway 70, Clarendon, TX 79226. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
