Run The Farm
Run The Farm is a 12-hour endurance race held at Herold Wines in the Western Cape. Competitors complete repeated loops on a marked mountain trail; each loop is 5 km. The overall objective is to complete as many laps as possible within the 12-hour period. The individual and team categories are scored by total laps completed, with winners those who record the highest number of laps.
Event categories include:
- Individual 12-hour challenge
- Teams of 2 and teams of 4 sharing laps
- A separate fun run that comprises a single lap; dogs on leashes are permitted for the fun run
Support at the venue includes a designated start and finish area for refueling and resting between loops, an aid station and race support, medical coverage, and a shared hangout area for participants and supporters. Finishers medals are provided only to athletes who complete the 12-hour challenge. Prizes are awarded for top finishers.
The race village allows participants to set up gazebos and tents before the race. Toilet facilities are available; there are no showers, but a natural pool is onsite. Vendors will be present and branded caps will be available for purchase. A qualified sports massage therapist will provide services on the day with limited appointment availability.
Road works near the venue may add approximately 10 to 15 minutes to travel time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
