Run The Farm : Herold
Run The Farm is a 12-hour endurance race held at Herold Wines in the Western Cape on 7 November 2026. The event uses a marked mountain trail with a single loop of 5 km and measures performance by total laps completed during the 12-hour period.
There are four race categories: individual athletes, teams of two, teams of four, and a one-lap fun run or walk. Individual and team entries accumulate as many laps as possible in the 12 hours; winners are the individual and team with the most laps. Fun run participants complete one lap; dogs on leashes are permitted in this class.
Race support and facilities include a designated start/finish area for refueling and resting between loops, a shared hangout area, an aid station, marked trail, medical support, and a race village with vendors. Finishers medals are provided to athletes who take part in the 12-hour challenge. A qualified sports massage therapist will be on site with limited availability and pre-booking is advised.
Participants may set up gazebos and tents on the day before the race. Venue toilets are available; there are no shower facilities, but a natural pool is onsite. Event rules specify that competitors must complete each loop before leaving the course and that non-competitors are not allowed on the course.
