Run The Down
Run The Down is a community led trail event held at Dummer Down Farm in Dummer, England. The event is a properly off-road 10 km course that uses grass, gravel paths and farm tracks through open countryside.
The course is described as non-technical and will be clearly marked with marshals on route. An event village will be provided with space for participants and supporters before and after the run. Facilities and inclusions listed for runners include a MHAC finisher medal, a free drink from Dummer Down Brewery, an optional limited edition MHAC running sock in supporter packs, chip timed results and professional race photography. The event also lists category and overall prizes, toilets on site, free parking, a bag drop, a water refill station, a coffee truck and a food truck.
The event is organised with a focus on mental health and community. It is linked with MHAC, and a percentage of ticket sales will be donated to Mind. Places are limited to manage the event experience. As this is a trail run, participants should expect uneven ground and changeable weather conditions; trail shoes are recommended, especially if conditions are wet.
