About the race
The Potential Hyrox Sim on April 19, 2026 in Peterborough, Ontario is an unofficial Hyrox-style simulation that reproduces an 8 km run interspersed with eight functional stations. The venue is listed as 701 The Queensway, Unit 5-6, Peterborough. Most stations and support areas are indoors while the measured and marked runs take place outdoors.
The sequence of race segments is, in order: 1 km run + 1000 m SkiErg, 1 km run + 50 m sled push, 1 km run + 50 m sled pull, 1 km run + 80 m burpee broad jumps, 1 km run + 1000 m row, 1 km run + 200 m farmers carry, 1 km run + 100 m lunges, 1 km run + 100 wall balls.
Participants may register as solo or as a pair. Pairs are allowed to split stations in nonstandard ways for this event; the registered name for the pair is used in online results. Waves start every 10 minutes with up to 4 athletes per wave and the event is capped at 240 athletes. Competitive waves are designated for athletes aiming for times under 90 minutes.
Each run and station is chip timed and split times are posted live online. Onsite services include a DJ, a photographer and drone with free event photos after the race, change rooms, indoor washrooms, a cold plunge, free cold beer for participants, and onsite parking.
