Event Overview
The Run the Branch 5k is the fourth annual event. It is held at Municipal Park in Clayton, North Carolina.
Race Details
Participants can walk, jog, or run a 5k distance. The course starts and finishes at Municipal Park. A portion of the route is on the Sam's Branch Greenway, though an alternate route is being used for this edition due to a greenway closure. The event includes a timed 5k and an untimed Tot Trot for children ages 6 and under.
Events and Registration
- 5k: The standard race distance. Registration includes a t-shirt. Early bird registration is $40 until April 15, after which the price increases to $55.
- Tot Trot: A short, approximately 0.1-mile untimed run for children. Participation is free with a cap of 50 entrants. All participants receive a ribbon. An optional t-shirt is available for $10 if registered by April 15.
Additional Information
Race awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as in multiple age groups. T-shirt sizes range from youth to adult XXL. Registrants must sign up by April 15 to guarantee their t-shirt size. Packet pickup is available in advance at Deep River Brewing Company in Clayton and on race day.
