Run the Branch 5K : Clayton, NC
The 5th annual Run the Branch 5K takes place at Municipal Park in Clayton and follows Sam's Branch Greenway out and back. The event includes a main 5K road/greenway course and a short Tot Trot for young children across the event lawn and back.

- 176 yards Tot Trot (ages 6 and under)
Registration opens March 1. Early-bird registration is $30 if completed by April 15; a higher fee applies after April 15. The Tot Trot has no registration fee; an optional Tot Trot t-shirt can be added for $10 if ordered by April 15. Race registration includes a t-shirt; sizes available Youth S–L and Adult S–XXL. Register by April 15 to guarantee t-shirt size.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and in the following age groups: 11 & under, 12–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60 & over. Tot Trot participants run an untimed short course and receive a ribbon.
Packet pickup is available at Deep River Brewing Company, 700 W Main Street #102, Clayton, NC, and on race day at the Caterpillar Stage at Municipal Park. Animals are not allowed on the course; casual walkers may use strollers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
