Run Scream Run at Wiard's Orchard
Run Scream Run is a Halloween-themed road and trail running event held at Wiard's Orchard in Ypsilanti on October 31, 2026. The event offers three distances and includes seasonal activities such as fall treats and costume elements.

Both the 5K and 10K include about one mile on gravel roads within the orchard, with the remainder on new asphalt roads and a cross country course inside Rolling Hills County Park. The route mixes paved and dirt paths and is described as runner and walker friendly.
There is one aid station on the 5K course and two aid stations on the 10K course, providing water. Walkers are permitted and have time limits to complete each course: 60 minutes for the 5K and 85 minutes for the 10K. A jogging stroller is appropriate for the 5K; the 10K includes gravel, grass hills, and bumps and may not be suitable for strollers.
Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race at Wiard's Orchard and on race morning at the start area. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K, with age group awards three deep in all five-year age groups. The Cider Mill Mile awards finisher medals to all finishers. Costume contests are part of the event, with awards presented in multiple categories.
