Event Overview
The Run, Ride, & Rumble for PTSD Awareness is a multi-discipline sports event taking place in Birmingham, Alabama. Organized to coincide with PTSD Awareness Month, the event raises funds for Sojourn Counseling to support community members affected by Post Traumatic Stress. The activities are hosted at Cahaba Brewing Co. and include options for runners, cyclists, and motorcycle enthusiasts.
Participants can choose from the following physical activities:
- 5k Run
- 45 Mile road cycling ride
- 1.5 hour motorcycle Rumble
The motorcycle portion of the event begins at Riders Harley Davidson with a "Kick Stands Up" start. The running and cycling events utilize routes tracked via Strava, with the 5k run concluding with an official award ceremony.
In addition to the athletic events, the gathering features a community celebration held at Cahaba Brewing Co. This portion of the day includes live music provided by Shur Shot DJs, door prizes, and a lunch catered by Chuy's Mexican Restaurant. Packet pick-up is available both on the day of the event and on the preceding Friday afternoon. General admission is also available for those wishing to attend the celebration without participating in the run, ride, or rumble activities.
