Event overview
The 2026 Run Richmond is a road race held on January 4, 2026 at Rocketts Landing, 3101 Wharf St., Richmond, VA. The event offers both a 5k and a 10k and follows the Virginia Capital Trail with views of the James River. A virtual race option is available.

The course is paved and flat. The 10k is two laps of the 5k out-and-back route. Water stations are located at approximately mile markers 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65 for the 10k; the 5k has a water station at about mile 1.55. Gatorade may be available at some water stations. Port-a-johns will be in the parking lot near the start and finish areas.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical Dri-fit event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 18; extra shirts will be available after that on a first-come, first-served basis. Race day registration and packet pickup are available on site; t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants. Registration fees listed include a 5k price of $30 until December 15 ($35 after) and a 10k price of $45 until December 15 ($50 after); prices increase by $5 on race morning.
Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, and to 1st and 2nd male and female in standard age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
