Event
The Run Richmond event on January 4, 2026 offers two race distances:
- 5k
- 10k
Points earned at the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person. The event is organized by Bishops Events and is held at Rocketts Landing, 3101 Wharf St., Richmond, VA.
Course and facilities
The course runs along the Virginia Capital Trail with views of the James River. It is a paved, flat out-and-back route; the 10k is two laps of the 5k out-and-back. Water stations are located at the turnaround points and additional stations are placed along the 10k; Gatorade is available at some stations. Port-a-johns are provided in the parking area near the start/finish. Parking is located near Rocketts Landing along the Virginia Capital Trail; GPS coordinates are provided by the organizer.
Registration, results and awards
Registered runners receive a finisher medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt (sizes for late registrants are not guaranteed), and chip timing. There is race day registration and packet pickup at the event. Live results are posted during the race and final results with series points are posted the Monday following the event. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to top finishers by age group; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group prizes.
