Run Port Stephens
Run Port Stephens is a coastal running festival held in Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, on Sunday 29 November 2026. The courses run along the foreshore and parklands and combine waterfront views with shaded forest trails and some elevation.
The event offers multiple out-and-back formats with fixed lap structures:
- Marathon: three-lap out-and-back course
- Half marathon: two-lap out-and-back course
- 10 km: one-and-a-half lap out-and-back course
- 5 km: two-lap out-and-back course
- 2.5 km fun run: one-lap out-and-back course
The organiser notes roughly 1,430 runners participated last year and that the event has been held since 2022. The finish area is near Nelson Bay Beach, which provides nearby swimming access.
The surrounding Port Stephens region is described as a coastal destination about 2.5 hours north of Sydney, with beaches, sheltered bays, bush trails, and extensive sand dunes at Stockton Bight. The event moved to a pin free bib system by 2026; BibSnaps are offered as a reusable alternative, and sets are available during entry or at the event.
