Event overview
Tomaree Triathlon Club will hold Race 2 of the 2025/26 series as an aquathlon on 11 January 2026 at Soldiers Point, NSW. The event was changed to an aquathlon because higher traffic volumes are expected on the club's bike course in January. The venue address is 139 Soldiers Point Road, Soldiers Point 2317. All fees from this event will be donated to the family of a late club member who died while training in December.
Distances and entry
- Short: 300 m swim / 4.5 km run
- Long: 750 m swim / 9 km run
Senior entry fees for the event are $10. Triathlon Australia competing members pay $10; Triathlon Australia junior members pay $5. Try-a-Tri options are $10 for both short and long courses. Junior non-member Swim+Run for under 12 years is free. Age eligibility listed for contest entries indicates short course entries are for participants born in 2013 or earlier, long course for those born in 2008 or earlier, and junior Swim+Run for those born in 2020 or earlier.
Rules and race information
Transition setup and race-day check-in are available before the event. Competitors must attend and follow the race briefing and follow directions from club marshals and committee members. Competitors must bring their own water bottles for the run leg. Non-Triathlon Australia members, including those with expired memberships, must select the Try-a-Tri option. The timing chip is on loan from the club; failure to return it incurs a replacement charge of $65. Registration fees are non-refundable for no-shows.
