Run Paddle Run - Montgomery Whitewater
Run Paddle Run is a multi-discipline adventure race held at Montgomery Whitewater as part of its Adventure Race Series. The format combines two running segments with a creek-channel paddle using site-provided inflatable kayaks called duckies. The transition area is located in front of the raft barn.
Registration costs $35 and the event is open to participants aged 13 and up. Equipment provided by Montgomery Whitewater includes a helmet, personal flotation device, a single ducky, and a double-bladed paddle; personal kayaks are not permitted. Registered entrants receive a race bib and a race t-shirt if registration is completed by July 9.
Race distances:
- Run: two 1.5-mile segments, total 3 miles
- Paddle: 2,200 feet creek-channel
Awards include trophies for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in male and female categories, and race medals for all finishers. The event is not officially clocked or chipped. The race is scheduled rain or shine, though thunderstorms or tornado warnings may prompt rescheduling or cancellation. Additional participant benefits listed by the organizer include limited discounts on select on-site activities around the race period.
