Run of Hope Seattle
The Run of Hope Seattle is an annual event held in Seattle, Washington, specifically located at Seward Park on Lake Washington Boulevard. Now in its 18th year, the event is organized by the Run for Children's Guild and Four Seasons Seattle. The primary mission of the event is to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research at Seattle Children's.
Participants can choose from several event options:
- 5K Run
- 3K Walk
- Kids Dash (available for children aged 8 and under)
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk (for those unable to attend in person)
The event focuses on supporting various research areas, including brain tumors, leukemia, blood disorders, and solid tumors. All donations are directed toward advancing research at the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research.
The gathering emphasizes community involvement through team and individual fundraising efforts. Prizes are awarded to top fundraisers, and team captains are entered into prize drawings. The event aims to address cancer as a leading cause of disease-related deaths in children by funding medical research and increasing public awareness.
