Event Overview
The 18th annual Run of Hope Seattle is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026. The event takes place at Seward Park in Seattle.
Events and Distances
Four events are offered:
- 5K Run
- 3K Walk
- Kids Dash (for children 8 and under, covering 100 yards)
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
Both the 5K run and 3K walk will be chip-timed. Participants in the Kids Dash can also join the 5K run or 3K walk with family at no extra cost.
Course Details
The 5K and 3K courses follow an out-and-back format along Lake Washington Boulevard. The 5K run goes out 1.55 miles before turning around, and the 3K walk turns around at the 1.5-kilometer mark. A water station is provided at the 5K turnaround. The courses offer views of Lake Washington and finish on the main lawn for refreshments. Seward Park allows leashed dogs.
Fundraising and Purpose
The event's mission is to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research at Seattle Children's. One hundred percent of donations go directly to this research. Prizes are awarded to top individual and team fundraisers, and all team captains are entered into a drawing.

Registration prices are:
- 5K Run: $30 (price increases after June 30, 2026)
- 3K Walk: $30 (price increases after June 30, 2026)
- Kids Dash: $20
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk: $30
