Run Northumberland Coquet Half Marathon
Run Nation's Coquet Half Marathon is a road race around the Coquet Valley that starts and finishes in Rothbury. The route is hilly and follows public roads, with scenic sections along the valley. The course is accurately measured and uses chip timing provided by Timing4Sport.
The event is a Half-Marathon with a minimum age of 17. Entries are limited to 800 and the closing date for entries is 30th June 2026. Entry fees are £27 for affiliated runners and £29 for unaffiliated runners. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and an optional race T shirt is available for an extra cost.
Event facilities are based at Dr Tomlinson C of E Middle School in Rothbury where registration, bag drop and some toilets are located. Additional toilets are available at the finish. Parking is available at the Auction Mart or at a car park near the finish. There are water stations at 3 miles, 6 miles and 9 miles, distance markers at every mile, and first aid provision on site. Individual prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, and team prizes are awarded to the first male and female UKA affiliated clubs based on the positions of their first three runners.
