About the race
Run Nona is a community running event held at Lake Nona Town Center in Orlando, Florida. The program includes a chip timed 5K and a Nemours Children's Run with age appropriate groups for children. The event offers participant apparel and awards: a tech shirt and finisher medal for the 5K and a shirt and medal for the children's run. The 5K uses a B-Tag timing chip attached to the race bib.
Awards include top overall finishers, a top nonbinary genderqueer finisher, masters division awards, a push rim wheelchair division, age group awards, and Lake Nona resident awards. A team challenge awards a $500 donation to the charity of the largest qualifying team with a minimum of 15 participants; the charity must be a 501(c)(3). Additional services and policies include non refundable entry fees, a transfer option for a fee, a prohibition on bib swapping, and a virtual race option with packet pickup or domestic shipping starting the week of September 14. Bib pickup is available at Track Shack in Orlando.
Event course controls require participants to maintain approximately a 15 minute per mile pace or be directed to the sidewalk. Wheelchair and handcycle participants are accommodated with specific rules and a helmet requirement. The event also features a post race block party and family oriented kids zone activities.
