Run Media City Christmas 5k & 10k
Held on 19 December 2026, the Run Media City Christmas event takes place in the Media City Piazza at MediaCity UK, Salford. The event offers the following race distances:

- 10k
The course follows a 2.5 km loop that crosses the Millennium Bridge, passes the Imperial War Museum, and runs around the ITV and BBC television studios. The event starts and finishes in the Media City Piazza. Each kilometre on the course is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned to guide and cheer participants.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free official race photos, chip-timed results, and post race goodies. A race village on site provides food and drink options and free items from event partners at the finish. An event t-shirt with the race logo is available at a discounted price when purchased with entry and is supplied via RT Kit.
Salford Foodbank is the 2026 Charity of the Year; it feeds and supports more than 200 families in crisis every week and will be associated with the event. The organiser states a focus on sustainability as part of event planning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
