Run Mag Mile® 5K & 10K
Run Mag Mile® is a city road race in Chicago scheduled for September 12, 2026. The event takes place along the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue and closes the street to traffic for the race. Participants pass landmarks such as Tribune Tower, the Wrigley Building, and the historic Water Tower, with the finish area located in Grant Park.
Distances offered
- 5K - Michigan Avenue route with on-course entertainment.
- 10K - Extends to the Lakefront Trail with views of Lake Michigan before finishing in Grant Park.
The event features live music along the course and a one-mile HOKA Mile challenge within the race day program. The course is USATF certified. Race registration includes official Run Mag Mile swag, a Chicago-themed finisher’s medal, finisher photos, on-course entertainment, and access to a post-race celebration with brunch. The post-race celebration includes musical performances, a slice of Eli’s Cheesecake for participants, and alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and over.
Options for participation include a virtual entry and group registration. The event also lists volunteer opportunities and a charity partnership with the Chicago Help Initiative to support services for people experiencing homelessness in the Chicago area.
