Run Mag Mile
Run Mag Mile is a road running event in Chicago held on September 12, 2026. The event offers two distance options:
- 5K
- 10K
The race uses Michigan Avenue, known as the Magnificent Mile, and the course fully closes the avenue to traffic. Runners pass landmarks such as Tribune Tower, the Wrigley Building, and the historic Water Tower. The 10K course extends onto the Lakefront Trail and provides views of Lake Michigan before the finish in Grant Park.
On-course entertainment includes live music at multiple points along the route. The event also features the HOKA Mile, an additional one-mile challenge available to registered participants. Registration benefits listed for participants include exclusive Run Mag Mile swag, a Chicago-themed finisher’s medal, a USATF certified course, and finisher photos.
A post-race celebration takes place at the finish with live performances, a post-race brunch offering a slice of Eli’s Cheesecake, and a complimentary adult beverage for participants 21 and over. A virtual participation option is available. The event includes group registration, volunteer opportunities, and charity involvement supporting the Chicago Help Initiative.
