Run Like a Rockstar 5K

Run Like a Rockstar 5K is a new road race in downtown Rock Island, Illinois, scheduled for August 14, 2026. The course follows the Great River Trail along the riverfront and finishes in the downtown arts area.

Participants are encouraged to wear music-inspired costumes; cash prizes will be awarded for the top costume entries. A free, 80s-themed Afterparty takes place in Arts Alley and at ICONS Martini Bar and is open to the public. The afterparty features Just Let Go DJs spinning 80s vinyl, costume contest awards, and drink specials.

Packet pickup is held on August 14 at Arts Alley, 1719–21 2nd Ave., Rock Island. Registering by Friday, August 7 guarantees a limited-edition race T-shirt produced locally by GT Sports. The listed registration fee for the 5K is $40.10 (displayed as $35.00 plus processing and taxes).
