Event Overview
The Run Like a Fool 5K takes place on April 19, 2026, at Heritage Park in Olympia, Washington. It features a 5K run and a Kids 1k Run for participants aged 12 and under. The 5K has a participant limit of 300, and the kids' run has a limit of 150.

Registration and Fees
Online registration closes at 8:20 AM on race day. Standard 5K pricing follows a tiered structure: $35 through April 11, 2026, $40 from April 12-18, and $45 on race day. The Kids 1k Run is free. Discounts are available for Club Oly members and for groups registering together. Group registrations are not eligible for the member discount.
Packet Pickup
Participants can collect their race packets on Saturday, April 18, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Fleet Feet (3405 Capitol Blvd SE, Olympia), or on race day from 7:20 AM to 8:20 AM at Heritage Park.
Awards and Swag
Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in men's, women's, and nonbinary categories, the top three in each 10-year age group, and the top three wackiest costumes. Results are posted online immediately after the race. The first 275 participants receive a foldable shopping tote and a medal. Kids receive a kiddie medal or ribbon.
