Run Like a Fool 5K takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2026 in Olympia, Washington. The event includes a 5K and a Kids 1k Run. The course is described as flat with two laps around Capitol Lake and the venue is Heritage Park, 610 Water Street Southwest, Olympia, WA 98501.
Registration and logistics
Entry for the kids run (ages 12 and under) is free. The 5K has tiered entry fees: $35 through April 11, 2026; $40 from April 12 through April 18, 2026; and $45 on the day of the race. Club Oly members receive a $5 discount at checkout. Group discounts apply: $10 off per person for groups of four and $13 off per person for groups of five or more; group registrations are not eligible for the member discount. Registration is online and places are limited to 300 for the 5K and 150 for the kids run. Packet pickup is offered the day before at Fleet Feet, 3405 Capitol Blvd SE, Olympia, and on race day at Heritage Park by the start line.
Awards and swag
Awards include top three overall in Men, Women, and Nonbinary divisions; top three in each 10-year age group; and top three wackiest costumes. Results will be posted online after the race.
