Run Like a Fool 5K

Run Like a Fool 5K takes place on April 19, 2026 in Olympia, Washington. The event is staged at Heritage Park near Capitol Lake and includes a adults 5K and a separate kids 1k for ages 12 and under.

The course is described as flat and consists of two laps around Capitol Lake. The 5K field is limited to 300 participants and the kids event is limited to 150 entries. Results are posted online immediately after the race.

Registration fees and discounts are listed as follows. The kids run is free. The 5K fee is $35 through April 11, 2026; $40 from April 12 through April 18, 2026; and $45 on April 19, 2026. Club Oly members receive a $5 checkout discount. Groups of four receive $10 off per person and groups of five or more receive $13 off per person. Group registrations are not eligible for the Club Oly member discount.

Packet pickup is available Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Fleet Feet, 3405 Capitol Blvd SE, Olympia, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, or on race day at Heritage Park by the start area. The first 275 participants receive a foldable shopping tote and a medal; kids receive a kiddie medal or ribbon. Awards include top three overall by gender and nonbinary, top three in each ten year age group, and top three wackiest costumes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
