Run Layer 5

Run Layer 5 2025 is a community-focused running event held in Layer de la Haye, Colchester, Essex. The event features a 5-mile out-and-back multi-terrain course through the scenic North Essex countryside, showcasing the village's beautiful landscapes. A children's 1-mile fun run is also available.

The race starts and finishes at Queen Elizabeth Hall, with limited parking and toilet facilities on site. Dogs on short leads are welcome. Participants receive medals, and trophies are awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the leading team.
