Run Hustle Run Mother's Day 5K
Run Hustle Run Mother's Day 5K is a community street race organized around Mother's Day in Southeast Queens. The event uses a looped urban course that starts at Hillside Avenue and 136th Street near The Hustle Barbershop at 135-22 Hillside Ave., Richmond Hill, NY.
The course is a 1.55-mile loop run twice to complete the 5K. It follows Kew Gardens Road to Lefferts Boulevard and includes a gradual uphill section on Kew Gardens Road that becomes more noticeable on the second loop. NYPD-supported street closures provide a fully protected race course. Volunteers, cones, and course marshals guide participants, and walkers are required to remain on the far right side of the roadway.
Race operations include live online, text, and email results; free finish-line photos and same-day video; and a race shirt. Registered participants receive a personalized bib if registration occurs three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup and can be retrieved via self lookup. Last-minute registrants receive their bib number by text within about 90 seconds.
Awards are presented to the top three in male, female, and nonbinary or X categories within standard age groups. The race is connected to a community running movement that grew from The Hustle Barbershop and emphasizes regular group runs and local engagement.
