Run Hustle Run Mother's Day 5K
Run Hustle Run Mother's Day 5K is a community street race held in May around Mother’s Day in Richmond Hill, Queens. The event is organized by the Run Hustle Run group, which grew from The Hustle Barbershop into a regular running community that meets for weekly runs and special events.
The course starts near Hillside Avenue and 136th Street by The Hustle Barbershop at 135-22 Hillside Ave. Runners complete a 1.55-mile loop along Kew Gardens Road to Lefferts Boulevard twice for the full 5K. The route includes a gradual uphill on Kew Gardens Road that becomes more noticeable on the second loop. The race uses NYPD-supported street closures for a protected course, and volunteers, cones, and course marshals guide participants. Walkers must remain on the FAR RIGHT SIDE of the roadway at all times to allow safe passing.
Participant amenities listed for the event include live text and email results, free finish line photos, personalized bibs when registered three weeks in advance, and a Run Hustle Run race shirt. Awards are given to the top three M/F/X finishers in the age groups 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event; last-minute registrants within 24 hours may receive a bib number by text within 90 seconds.
