Run Hustle Run Mother's Day 5K
Run Hustle Run Mother's Day 5K is a community-focused street race held in Southeast Queens around Mother’s Day. The event originates from The Hustle Barbershop and emphasizes consistency, culture, and local running community activities.
The course starts near Hillside Avenue & 136th Street in Richmond Hill and follows an out-and-back loop along Kew Gardens Road to Lefferts Boulevard. The race covers a 5K by completing a 1.55-mile loop twice. NYPD-supported street closures, volunteers, cones, and course marshals provide a protected route. The course includes a gradual uphill on Kew Gardens Road that becomes more demanding on the second loop. Walkers must remain on the far right side of the roadway at all times.
Event services include live online, email, and text results; free same-day finish line photos; and a Run Hustle Run race shirt. Personalized bibs are available for entries completed at least three weeks before the event. Bib pickup is handled by event staff beginning one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup. Last-minute registrants receive their bib number by text, typically within 90 seconds.
Awards are given to the top three in male, female, and nonbinary categories across age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
