Run Fur Their Lives 5k : Platte River Trails, Casper
Run Fur Their Lives is a community 5k event held at Platte River Trails in Casper. The event raises funds and awareness for the nonprofit Fur Pets Sake, with all proceeds designated to cover rescue costs such as shelter, food, vaccinations, and additional veterinary services including spay and neuter procedures.
Participants may walk, jog, or run and dogs are allowed to attend. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, owners and handlers are responsible for their animals, female dogs in heat are not permitted, and attending dogs should be current on recommended vaccinations and free from contagious illness. Owners must clean up after their dogs; aggressive or disruptive animals may be removed. Costumes for participants and dogs are permitted and encouraged.

Registration involves consent to several terms including a medical and safety acknowledgment, a release of liability for sponsors and organizers, authorization to obtain or arrange medical assistance if needed, and consent to use photographs or recordings taken at the event. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
