Run for Your Life - Yakima
Run for Your Life is an annual charity fun run, walk and community fair organized by students of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU). The event began in 2011 on the university’s Terrace Heights campus and takes place on the PNWU campus at the MultiCare Learning Center in Yakima, Washington on April 3, 2027.
The event is presented by students who are training as health professionals and focuses on promoting healthy lifestyles and community well being. The course is described as flat and easy, intended to be accessible to a range of ages. The event combines running with family friendly and health focused activities, and proceeds support PNWU scholarships for students from rural and medically underserved areas.
Distances and age categories include:
- 5K (3.1 Miles), Ages 12+, $30 registration fee
- 10K (6.2 Miles), Ages 12+, $35 registration fee
- Pony Race (100 m), Ages 11 and under, free
- 5K (3.1 Miles), Ages 11 and under, free
- 10K (6.2 Miles), Ages 11 and under, free
