About the race
The Hard Core Runners Club organizes the HCR Winter Race Series in Yakima across four scheduled races between December 2026 and January 2027. Each race is held at a different local venue with measurable distances and official results posted after each event.

- Race 2 at Yakima Athletic Club, 2501 Racquet Ln, Yakima, on December 20, 2026, covering 5k.
- Race 3 at East Valley Elementary, 1951 Beaudry Road, Yakima (Moxee area), on January 3, 2027, covering 4.5 miles.
- Race 4 at Chesterley Park, 40th Avenue and River Road, Yakima, on January 17, 2027, covering 5k.

Guidelines state that pre-registration is required and there is no race day registration; participants receive a confirmation email. Bibs are picked up at the race and may be retained for subsequent series races; replacement blank bibs and a marker are provided when needed. Water and individually served snacks are available after each race. Series awards are given by age group for those who finish at least three races, and a series-end pizza party with awards occurs at the Yakima Family YMCA and Yakima Rotary Aquatic Center.
