Run For Your Life 5K, Tarboro
Run For Your Life is scheduled for October 31, 2026, in historic Downtown Tarboro at 526 North Main Street. The event marks the 14th annual running fundraiser and features the following distances:

The event is the signature fundraiser for the Edgecombe Cancer Support Foundation. One hundred percent of race proceeds go directly to local people with cancer. Funds are administered by volunteers and provide financial assistance to Edgecombe County residents undergoing cancer treatment, addressing treatment costs, insurance gaps, and day-to-day living expenses.
Online registration opens July 1, 2026, and closes October 29, 2026. Registered entry fees listed by the organizer are $40.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. The cost increases by $5 after online registration closes. In-person registration is available at the packet pickup site on October 30 and October 31 with a $5 increase.
Packet pickup takes place at Tarboro Brewing Company, 526 N Main Street, Tarboro, NC. A charity concert is planned on Friday, October 30 at the same location, with music, a raffle, beverages from TBC, and a local food truck. Race awards include Top 3 overall male and female, and Top 2 male and female in each age group: 15 and under; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
