Run for Your Life almost a 4k : Hattiesburg
Run for Your Life almost a 4k is a Halloween-themed 4K running event held in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, routed through the Hattiesburg Avenues neighborhood. The course begins near Murky Waters and finishes with a post-run gathering at Murky Waters.
Registration information in the event listing shows registration opens on August 14, 2026 and closes on October 2, 2026. The registration fee is $35 and includes race entry, a shirt, and a beverage at Murky Waters after the run. Day-of registration will be available but day-of registrants are not guaranteed a shirt.
Awards are given separately for male and female categories for first place overall, middle of the pack, and last one standing. Additional awards recognize the three best costumes. The event is timed by Southern Race Timing.
Proceeds support other local Halloween activities and neighborhood efforts, including the Largest Pumpkin Carving in the Gulf South, the Hattiesburg Halloween Parade, and projects to beautify the Hattiesburg Avenues neighborhood. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
