Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women - St. John’s 2026
The Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women is a community running and walking event held in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The event takes place at Dominion Lake Avenue, located at 20 Lake Ave. Participants can choose from different distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 km (Little Steps)
The event focuses on supporting women's mental health programs through Stella's Circle. Specifically, the fundraising efforts benefit the Just Us Women’s Centre and the Naomi Centre. The Just Us Women’s Centre provides one-on-one and group counselling for women involved in the criminal justice system, focusing on trauma, addictions, and peer support. The Naomi Centre serves as an emergency shelter for young women between the ages of 16 and 30.
The event schedule includes a welcome and warm-up session prior to the starts of the 5 km and 10 km routes. Participants and donors contribute to providing therapeutic group sessions and empowerment programs aimed at ending sexual exploitation and supporting women in need throughout the province.
