The Calgary Eating Disorder Program provides specialized services for Albertans aged 13 and older diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and other specified feeding or eating disorders. Eating disorders have an estimated 5 to 10% mortality rate, the highest among mental illnesses; suicide and cardiac disease are leading causes of death in this group. Early intervention is noted as important to reduce the impact of these disorders.
Women’s Mental Health programs support women with moderate to severe mental health concerns who are planning pregnancy, are pregnant, or are up to one year postpartum. These programs serve over 600 women annually. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
