Run for Women - Penn State Behrend
Run for Women is a 5K event held at Penn State Behrend’s Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Center (AMIC), 5350 Technology Drive, Erie, PA, on August 30, 2026. The event includes a student-priced division that is scored together with the regular 5K.

The course begins and finishes at the AMIC, loops through Technology Park and Knowledge Park on closed roads, and passes through a wooded area. The course layout is described as a lollipop route that returns to finish in front of the AMIC building.
Registration opens March 1, 2026; fees vary by category and there are options for student pricing and for choosing no shirt. Early packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 28 at AMIC. Day-of packet pickup is also available.
Awards are given to the top three women overall, the top master woman, and the top three women in each age group: 8 & under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70, 70+. Timing and results are provided by Big White Trailer Timing and will be posted after the race; awards will be distributed at an awards table when results are complete.
Proceeds support Behrend students and programming that promotes women and allies of women. Accommodations for participants with disabilities are available; participants are asked to contact the event organizers at least two weeks before the event to request access needs.
