Run For Wildlife - Dublin Zoo
Run For Wildlife is a 3km event held within Dublin Zoo on 29 August 2026. The route runs through the zoo grounds before the public opening and passes visible animal habitats, though some animals may remain in indoor enclosures in the morning. The event supports Save the Rhino International; funds raised contribute to ranger equipment, anti-poaching work, and community-led conservation for rhinos in Africa and Asia.
Participants receive an exclusive Run For Wildlife t-shirt, a handmade medal, and complimentary access to Dublin Zoo for the remainder of the day. Only people aged 16 years and over may take part in the race. Supporters require their own tickets and will be directed to a dedicated supporter area; supporters cannot line the route. Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the supporter area.
The course is 3km and includes steps, uneven ground and hilly sections. There will be a bag drop, toilets including a Changing Places accessible bathroom, water fountains along the route, and food and drink for sale. Guide dogs, assistance dogs and domestic pets are not permitted. Photographs and video will be taken during the event and may be used for promotional purposes. Tickets for this edition are sold out and are non-refundable under the event terms. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
